About me
As you probably might have guessed, my first name is Peter. A long time ago, in the previous century, I was born in a small country in Europe, called Belgium. But a few years ago, I decided to change my life and move from Belgium to the other side of the world, a decision I haven't regretted for a second yet.Education and Philosophy
When I was so much younger than today, I went to school as every normal kid. During school period, I had no issues learnig new stuff and I even wanted to know more about everything I learned. You can say I was a very curious kid.
I studied engineering at university and it got me a very nice job (good salary, lots of days off, nice colleagues, ...). But after a few years I did see that I was never going to become much richer if I continued this path. Until one day a good friend of me told me these wise words:
This got me thinking but at that time I could't figure out how to do this.
From my parents I always got the advice to save as much money as I could. But this also didn't make me rich, the interest rates on savings accounts are very low in Belgium. And together with the 'maintenance costs' they charge you and the rising inflation, the interest on a savings account is almost neglectable in Belgium.
But then I started learning about passive income and how to generate streams of passive income. It all looked so easy but I was a bit lazy and a master in procastination at that time so the result was I didn't do anything. Except for dividends.
Every month I did put aside a fixed amount of money and did buy dividend stocks with this. And eureka, it did generate a (small) stream of passive income.

My new home
Four year ago, I decided to follow my heart and I did sell everything I had in Belgium (my house, my car, ...) and I moved to Bali, living together with my girlfriend. Till now, I haven't regret this decision for a single second.
Back in Belgium, I had a stable job as system engineer at a major company but I was not 100% in my life. I had everything I desired, but I had the feeling my life was running on 'automatic pilot', there were no challenges left anymore for me in Belgium. Now, after a few years of living on this amazing island, I noticed that my brain was getting lazy. So I decided think about these passive income streams and I did lots of research on different kinds of streams. And that is what this site is all about.

Spare time
When I'm not at my laptop, I love to read. In fact, reading is one of my passions. Back in Belgium, I had a library of over 1000 books. Now, I'm slowly starting to rebuild a new one, containing already +100 books. What I like to read? It all depends on the mood I am in, sometimes it can be biographies or historical stuff, sometimes detectives or thrillers. And when I really want to feel dumb, I read books about quantum physics.
I also do love sports. I'm a big fan of Club Brugge (this is one of the few things I miss from Belgium, going to football stadiums every weekend to support my team).
And I found a new passion: playing padel. I used to play a lot of tennis back in Belgium and since last year, I started playing padel. And I have to admit, I like this even more than playing tennis. It's more fun, more intense, ... One sport I really miss doing is cycling. To be honest, I never tried cycling here. And the reason is that the landscape here is only uphill and downhill. And, I loved cycling on flat roads, fighting the wind, and cobblestones, ...

4. Am I currently working?
To be honest with yhou, no I am not working.
I saved enough money during the 27 years I did work in the system and by selling my house.
And what about all the projects I am starting? No, that is not working at all, this is something I love to do. It all takes a big amount of my time but there is a good reason why I am doing this (see 'My targets and dreams').
I always needed challenges in my life to proceed and become a better person. And this site (and the other projects) are part of such a challenge I force myself to.
And as mentionned before, I love learning new things and this 'building passive income streams' is the perfect challenge for that, I learned a lot new stuff and learned form the mistakes I already made.
To end with a big cliche: 'If you love what you are doing, it is not work"
